Barrel Prices

We usually use McGowen barrels when we can, as I know the shop and have seen how they make them.  They are also usually fastern than other barrel makers in their delivery.  Until Wilson bought Cooper Rifles, McGowen was a primary barrel source for them.    Shilen Barrels have proven to be a good buy also.  Please add $40.00 to the barrel prices below for a Shilen blank.  Barrels can take from 2 weeks to 6 weeks to be made after we order them.   If there is a time limit on the work, we can sometimes shop around and find a barrel that is pre-made.

The prices listed on the following pages are for the barrel and contour work and does NOT include chambering and fitting to an action.   Chambering and installing a barrel will usually run from $110.00 to $175.00.  We will settle on a price before we start to work.

 Adams & Bennett Barrel Blanks often are offered at sale prices but we have a mixed review of their quality.  A good A&B barrel is a good barrel but sometimes they are difficult to get to shoot well.  We have not worked with enough of them to be able to do more than to pass along what we have read.  Unless theay are on sale they run within $50.00 our standard custom barrels

There is an additional $40.00 charge for programming a barrel Contour different from those shown under Standard Contours.
